Membership Requirements Below are the requirements to become both an active pledge and an active member. This insert is directly taken from the Iota Pi Chapter Bylaws. Requirements of attaining pledge status, (at a minimum) the student must have: Declared a concentration in accounting, finance, or information systems (or have stated an intention to declare a concentration in accounting, finance, or information systems) Completed at least one (1) year of collegiate courses (thirty plus (30+) semester hours or equivalent) Attained a cumulative grade point average of an least 3.0 Paid a $55 pledge fee Requirements to elevation to membership in this chapter pledge must have: Declared a concentration in accounting, finance, or information systems Completed, in addition to two (2) years of collegiate courses, at least one upper level course beyond the business core Completed two (2)successive semesters of pledging (Fall & Spring) A minimum GPA 3.0 (overall & major) Performed fifteen (15) Professional Hours per year Performed fifteen (15) Community Service Hours per year Posted resume to Beta Alpha Psi's resume bank Paid a $55 member fee Members and pledges will be moved to inactive statis if: If a member's or pledge's participation level drops below fifty percent (50%) - as determined by the descretion of hte officers If a member or pledge is inactive, they will not be eligible to become active again until the following semester In order to regaint active status, they must have: At least seventy-five percent (75%) involvement in all activities of the chapter from that point forward Petitioned officers for reinstatement to active status Download the Pledge Form
