Read Green Festival

Every spring Salisbury University holds its annual Children's Literature Festival which has because of the strong focus on literature and the environment has come to be known as the Read Green Festival.  One of the highlights is the awarding of the national distinction for books that promote environmental stewardship, the Green Earth Book Awards.  The awards are given in five categories: picture book, children's fiction, young adult fiction, nonfiction for children, and nonfiction for young adults.
