Seagulls earn #8, first-ever Top 10 Ranking!
Headed south to face-off against #15 Richmond on Friday the 13th
As the rankings were posted at the end of the ACHA D3's second ranking period, it became clear that Friday the 13th wasn't such a bad day for being a Seagull. Salisbury earned it's first-ever Top 10 rating as the Gulls landed in the #8 spot in the official coaches rankings for the second period of the 2009-10 season. With hard work, and a few key victories over ranked opponents, along with a tough BRHC-Colonial schedule, the young Salisbury squad was able to climb onto the rankings board for the first time this season. SU missed out on a spot in the list in the first rankings period of the year due to a paperwork snafu that was quickly corrected. Should Salisbury maintain a Top 10 ranking into the final period of the season, they will earn the team's first ever invite to the ACHA South Regional Playoff in Pelham, Alabama.
