The Perdue School of Business

The Perdue School of Business has expanded the opportunities for students interested in a career in Human Resources. A new Human Resource Concentration has been added. See Thomas Calo for more information. 

At the present time there are 4 specific HR courses available that focus on critical HR disciplines:

  • MGMT 338 Special Topics Training and Development

  • MGMT 450 Human Resource Management

  • MGMT 451 Staffing Organizations

  • MGMT 452 Employee-Management Relations

  • MGMT 453 - Compensation and Reward Systems

  • MGMT 454 - Negotiations

Additional courses are planned in Training and Development and in Conflict Resolution.  There are also elective courses available with the Perdue School, and in other schools at the University, that would be helpful preparation for a career in HR.

Suggested fields would be :

  • Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution

  • Psychology

  • Sociology
