Assateague Campout

This was a crazy night...I got all excited seeing a deer on the road on the way in...turns out the deer in Assateague are as tame as domesticated doggies, they'll come up and snuggle with you if they smell food.

Maryland Coast Day

This was a really nice community event that we participated in the next morning...there were exhibits from a lot of active coastal environmental organizations, old Indian tribes, artsy craftsy kinda things for the kids, kites flying all over...we met our own Dave Rodriguez there, who was working a beach erosion model shown in the picture below.  Ocean City mayor Jim Mathias was also on hand for an overall great educational and fun event.
