MATT BURCH's TAKE ON THE DAY...

Crappy conditions, waves that break right into the shore, things like this would usually prevent an ordinary surf club from even attempting a day at the beach but not us.  Even under the worst conditions we still had the desire to enjoy our day at the beach.  I think last week’s conditions rose our expectations for ocean surfing.  To put it plainy we had a great time riding some crappy waves that through most of us face first into the shore, coming up with a mouth full of sand.  I was pretty stoked to see some intelligent people grab a bodyboard and grab a few extra waves.   For the few people who made it through the day the camping trip was a blast.  I have to thank the girlies on the trip, without them we would have been sleeping on half-made tents and without a fire.
