Margie
Knight has elevated the Salisbury State volleyball program to
new heights since becoming head coach in 1997. The Sea Gulls added
to their success in 2000 by capturing their second conference championship
in three years and earning their second bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Gulls have a 79-64 overall record during Knight's four
seasons, including back-to-back 20-win campaigns in 1997 and 1998.
Under her leadership, the Sea Gulls won their first Capital Athletic
Conference championship in 1998 and added their second CAC title
in 2000, and have earned the program's first two postseason berths
during that span.
